News from Israel

We have been impressed with Jerusalem's efforts to construct a light rail system to relieve the traffic problems in that city. Sources are now saying the system may reach the Western Wall [Kotel] area. This would relieve major traffic congestion, if used, but the idea has begun to stir controversy among the the three predominant faiths in the City who fear it may destabilize the neighborhood. After all, "we've never done it that way before!"

My Israeli friend sent me a PowerPoint with several photos of recent flooding in, of all places, the Negev, Israel's vast wilderness to the south. Prayers for precipitation in Israel are never wasted, but these pictures show an amazing flash flood situation that swept away cars, buses, trucks, and bridges!

If you would like a FREE copy of the PowerPoint, let me know, I'll be happy to forward it to you.
